Passing through its prism, our memories often become more beautiful or poignant, than we could have ever fathomed when in their visible form in the past.

When we travel, we're compelled to save our dearest memories in the form of photographs, preserving them for moments of reminiscence for later. In one such moment of nostalgia, while poring over hundreds of photographs captured from many of my travels in the past, I saw something in my pictures that I had never noticed before. There were strikingly beautiful similarities and differences in images that didn't really belong to exist side by side; images that were not even of the same geography. Yet, when I put them together, they coalesced beautifully in the most natural way.

Here's a collection of some diptychs, a combination of two images, I created at the beginning of this year, months and years after my travels in various places across India.

One of the things that fascinates me about places is how the geography quickly changes every few miles or so, drastically that too. It's always wonderful photographing trees. Especially when they're undergoing transition in different seasons. Tanushree Singh is an emerging photographer based out of Delhi. She is currently exploring analog photography and alternative/vintage photographic printing processes and documents most of it on her Instagram.
